Nedmag is located in Veendam, in the northern part of the Netherlands, and sources magnesium salts from a unique source: the former Zechstein Sea. This location taps into the bischofite salt deposits present, providing a pure and natural source of raw materials for our products. Our mission is to enrich products and processes with our high-purity magnesium salt, contributing to people’s daily lives.

From our mineral salt, we produce several products, including magnesium chloride and calcium chloride. Our calcium chloride, renowned worldwide for its high quality and purity, serves as a functional food ingredient relied upon by top brands in cheese production and beer brewing.

Pure Health & Earth is Nedmag’s newly launched platform focused on magnesium solutions for agriculture, health, and food. This platform highlights the benefits of magnesium in reducing sodium content in food products, improving overall health, and enhancing product performance. Its most recent addition is magnesium salt blends, which offer excellent potential for lowering sodium content. Magnesium serves as a sodium replacement in bakery, dairy, and meat applications, as well as a coagulant in tofu production, an electrolyte in sports drinks, and a flavoring agent.
