Pilot units are the intermediate link between laboratory and industrial scale wiped film and short path distillation units. The main aim of pilot scale distillations is to generate data for scale-up and process development. Moreover our pilot systems can be used for production of small product quantities as well. Experience, gained by experiments with a variety of products on our own pilot plants, has influenced the design and continuously improves the quality and performance of our systems.
VTA GmbH & Co. KG3.0H60VTA is a manufacturer of wiped film and short path evaporators and plants with sizes from laboratory, pilot until large production scale. For many products the evaporation technology is key for achieving sufficient product quality at decent yields. The fields of application and industries are diverse and require highly specific solutions. On wiped film and short path distillation systems operating pressures down to 0,001 mbar and temperatures up to 350°C can be achieved. Furthermore, products with viscosities of more than 100.000 mPas and melting points of more than 200°C can be handled. VTA has on its headquarters in Niederwinkling (Bavaria), Germany, own equipment for wiped film and short path distillation available to perform contract manufacturing for customers. This toll distillation is performed for campaign sizes starting with some kg up to several hundred metric tons.
