The Contraplex CW II is a high-performance wide-chamber pin mill featuring two counter-rotating pin discs for ultra-fine grinding in the range of approx. 10–500 µm. The opposing rotation creates extremely high relative tip speeds, ensuring efficient size reduction of brittle, crystalline, sticky, or oily materials. Its wide-chamber design prevents buildup, making the mill ideal for products with a tendency to deposit or smear. A large hinged door provides excellent accessibility for fast cleaning and easy product changeovers. Grinding fineness can be precisely adjusted by varying the speed of each pin disc. The robust, energy-efficient design offers improved kWh-per-kg performance and a pressure-shock-resistant housing. Optional configurations include pharmaceutical execution, wear-resistant pins, or coater versions. Suitable for food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, minerals, and polymer applications, the Contraplex CW II delivers reliable, flexible, and hygienic fine grinding for demanding production environments.
