Information

Shaping diets for the third millennium requires prioritising fibre-rich plant foods that benefit both human and planetary health. Oatly drinks can be a valuable source of fibre, including oat beta glucan (OBG). OBG affects gut and metabolic health directly through its unique physical attributes, but also indirectly through microbiota-derived metabolites. Strong evidence supports the effects of OBG on cholesterol and post-prandial glucose metabolism, with recent evidence supporting anti-glycemic effects at lower doses than previously observed. The talk will showcase how Oatly develops drinks that harness the power of oats, delivering fibre and other nutrients through diverse eating and drinking occasions.
